White Wine Sveti Martin Tressa White – Vipava, Slovenia

The winegrower: The Stegovec Family.
Region: Vipava Valley, Slovenia.
Alc.: 12,5 % vol.
Sweetness: Dry.
Vintage: 2020 – 2021.
Volume: 750 ml.
Grape variety: 40 % Rebula, 40 % Pinela, 10 % Zelen, 10 % Klarnica.

Vinification: Short (2 days) maceration in contact with the skins in a stainless steel container. Gentle compression with a pneumatic press. Maturation: 15 months in 500-liter acacia barrels.

Characteristics: White wine of golden yellow color with light aromas of acacia and ripe apricots. Honey notes go well with a hint of wild herbs. In the mouth, the wine is rich and mineral, with a pleasantly elegant acidity. Long lasting and dynamic aftertaste.

Food pairings: This wine can be recommended with all light to medium-aged cheeses. Also, it goes well with fish, pasta with vegetables and risotto with seafood. To serve at 12 – 14° C.
