White Wine REIA Malvasia – Goriška Brda, Slovenia

Grape variety: Malvasia.

Vinification:
Maceration 9 days in contact with skins and seeds in a stainless steel container. Gentle compression with a pneumatic press. Spontaneous fermentation. Natural maturing in oak barrique for 2 years.

Characteristics:
Wine of golden-yellow color with subtle yellow-green shades. A ripe fruity bouquet dominated by tart apple, pear and citrus with hints of honey and apricot. The wine is dry, medium-bodied, quite dense and slightly tart. The finish is warm and long. It seems to be trying to complement the taste with new subtle shades.

Food pairings:
Goes well with fish and seafood as well as pasta with mushrooms and asparagus. Serving temperature: 10 – 12°C.
