Description

 White Wine Chardonnay REIA – Goriška Brda, Slovenia.

Vinification:
Maceration 9 days in contact with skins and seeds in a stainless steel container. Gentle compression with a pneumatic press. Spontaneous fermentation. Natural maturing in oak barrique for 2 years.

Characteristics:
Wine of deep straw-yellow color with delicate amber hues.
A ripe but restrained floral-fruity bouquet dominated by apples and citrus fruits. In the background, hints of peach and apricot are heard.
The wine is dry, medium-bodied, quite dense and slightly acerbic.
The finish is warm and long. It seems to be trying to complement the taste with new subtle shades.

Food pairings:
Goes well grilled fatty fish, seafood pasta, crabs.
Serving temperature: 10 – 12°C.
